In 1991 Elfriede Weidenhaus moved to Erkenbrechtsweiler and became more actively involved in the work of the Zikadenpresse (Grasshopper Press), which had been founded in 1959. In 1991 the press published an edition of Sappho’s poetry with illustrations by Weidenhaus, and the following year Zikadenpresse produced this limited edition anthology of erotic poetry, chosen by the musician Wolfgang Stockmeier and again illustrated by Weidenhaus.
Nur Du (Only You) is a fairly pedestrian heterosexual anthology of mostly male poets, including six by the expressionist German poet August Stramm (1874–1915), who died in combat against the Russian army. The illustrations too, while sweet and unpretentious, are rather safe and innocuous.
