Sábanas para Recordar (Bedsheets to Remember) grew out of Cabanga, the novel Harrison wrote in San José, Costa Rica, in 1976, and became one of his earliest major European erotic stories. At its centre is Tenniel  ‘Tenny’ Dodgson, a sociologist fascinated by the sexual relationships between men and women. Dodgson has developed a theory that sexual frustrations in adult life can be traced back to formative experiences in childhood, and he approaches his subject with the enthusiasm of someone conducting serious academic research.

His investigations become the framework for a series of encounters and recollections in which women discuss the experiences that have shaped their sexual identities. Rather than treating the subject as straightforward documentary, Ferocius turns Dodgson’s research into a succession of increasingly intimate situations, blending sexual curiosity, psychological observation and his characteristic humour.

Sábanas para Recordar was published as Kiss Comix X9 in July 1992; a German translation by Hofmann Verlag as Alkovengeheimnisse,  and a Dutch translation by Sombrero Books as Intieme herinneringen, both appeared two years later.
